I recently purchased a bag of brownie chips at Sam’s discount store and they are wonderful. I just wanted to see if you had a recipe for same.
Perhaps a regular brownie recipe thinned with something? Can you help me with this? You’ve always been so good in the past.
Thanks in advance:
Susan
Hi Susan,
I couldn’t find much about these except that you can buy them at Sam’s and Costco. I did find a recipe for “brownie chips”, but I’ve no idea if it’s similar.

Subject: Freddie Fries
Hi!
Freddie Fries were served at Mr. Z's on the corner of 117th and Detroit in Cleveland, Ohio. The are called jojo's elsewhere, but these were the best.
Can you find the recipe?
Kim
Hi Kim,
I found a few mentions of Mr. Z’s in Cleveland, but no mention of their “freddie fries”. I’ll post this on the site – maybe a reader can help.

Subject: Van de Kamps Cheese Bread
I TOO HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THE RECIPE FOREVER!!! I tried to find it for a friend some 18 years ago when she was diagnosed with cancer
and said she would love to have their cheese bread one last time but I failed to answer her wish!! Since then I have asked every person who I
would find who made bread and they always said oh yes but they were talking about cheese bread with chunks of cheese in it. When I was searching
for my friend I was able to find a person who worked at Van de Kamps but not in the bakery and he thought they used a cheese powder when making
the bread. I found cheese powder on the Internet back then but the quantity was too much for me to order and I have always wondered if the
cheese packages in mac and cheese boxes could be used in making cheese bread? Since I am not a baker myself, let me know if you have tried that
cheese powder in the mac and cheese boxes and if it worked. If You Do Succeed Please Let Me Know And I Will Send You My Address So You Can Send
Me A Loaf!!!
My mother used to make a toasted cheese bread with sliced tomatoes and Mayo sandwich for me every morning as I was walking (actually running)
out the door on my way to catch my ride to junior college in Rancho Cucamonga (spelling) so it has good memories for me.
Found this link and it sounds interesting!!! For a recipe!!!!
Schraffts Cheese Bread
Thanks,
Jennie
Hello Jennie,
Sorry, I am not a baker, either. We’ll have to leave it to someone else to try the recipe. You can buy cheese powder by itself. See:

Subject: Deerpark Restaurant at Biltmore Estate, Waldorf-Astoria salad
Dear Sir,
We recently went to the Biltmore Estates and ate and Deerpark Restaurant (Stables turned into restaurant) at their Sunday Fall/Winter brunch.
They had the best Waldorf Salad I have ever eaten! Since then I have been looking for this recipe. I checked their cook books and have looked
online with no progress. It was quite different and was topped with candied pecans and cheddar cheese but there was also "something" else in
the salad, not sure if it was celery or maybe even water chestnuts (had the crunch and consistency of) If you could please help me find this
recipe I will be forever grateful! (Side note: not the recipe thats on YouTube)
Thank you
Angela
Hello Angela,
The only recipes that I can find are for their cranberry Waldorf salad: Cranberry Waldorf Salad
and this one that’s not the actual recipe, but is a “tastes-like” recipe: Apple Pear Waldorf Salad
I had no success finding their “traditional” Waldorf salad recipe.
