Subject: WDW Sausage
The BEST breakfast link sausage I’ve ever had was at Walt Disney World’s
Polynesian hotel Breakfast with the Characters in 2010.
It was sweet and mild – perfect for breakfast. I feel sure it was not a commercial
brand but was probably chef made in the restaurant.
Any chance in getting that recipe?
Charlotte
Hi Charlotte,
I had no success finding a recipe or a copycat for the sausage served at the WDW Polynesian Resort.
The only mention that I could find was that they serve this: “Hawaiian pork sausage with pineapple teriyaki glaze.”
Perhaps that’s what you mean?
I tried to find a similar recipe, with mixed results. I did not find a recipe for, or a description of, small Hawaiian pork breakfast sausage links, although I found a couple of mentions of such a thing. This may be a product made in Hawaii and bought by WDW, not made at the restaurant. I did find that Hawaiians love their version of Portuguese sausage. This kind of sausage is not a small breakfast link, but a larger sausage, like Portuguese linguica. I found recipes for this kind of sausage on these sites:
Nirvani
Hawaiian Recipes
and a list of available brands here, with pictures:
Tasty Island Hawaii
I did not find a recipe for pineapple teriyaki glaze specifically for sausage (or one from WDW), but there are others, like the ones below.
I’ve no idea what kind of sausage they are using at WDW Polynesian Resort. They may be buying it from a Hawaiian supplier and then grilling it with their own pineapple teriyaki glaze. If what you had is like the Portuguese sausage in the photos on the page linked above, then try that kind with one of the glazes below; If it was more like small breakfast links, then you might try to locate and contact a supplier in Hawaii (There are some sausage companies on the “available brands” link above.). You might also try ordinary pork breakfast sausage links basted with teriyaki glaze while cooking.
The only other option that I can give you for trying to determine exactly what kind of sausage they use at Polynesian Resort is for you to post a request on one of the Disney recipe message boards:

Subject: Farrow salad with chicken and green beans
Hi,
I have been eating at a restaurant called the tyme cafe in Santa Monica, California
and have ordered their Farrow salad with Chicken and Fresh green beans.
It is an amazing salad but they will not share there recipe. I know that it has dill in
it and thats about all I can pick out besides the main ingredients.
If you could find this for me that would be great. Thanks for offering this kind of service.
Cynthia
Hi Cynthia,
I had no success with the Thyme Café recipe or a copycat. This dish doesn’t appear to be on their online menu at:
Thyme Cafe & Market
That menu may be out-of-date.
There are other farro salad recipes on the web with chicken and green beans, but I have no idea whether they are similar to the Thyme Café dish. You might start with one of them and experiment.

Thank you..
I looked at the menu and it is on the "to go menu" under the hollywood bowl
boxed lunches.. side dishes and is called Farro with Haricot Vert, Chicken and fresh Dill.
Cynthia
Hi Cynthia,
Yes, I see that on the separate “Gourmet To Go” menu. Still no luck with a recipe, though. Start with one of the recipes that I sent you links to, and create your own.

Do you have the recipe for the white or cream colored fudge that Kresge's used to sell?
It was in a big block and they cut off the amount that you wanted.
Hi Marilyn,
Sorry, I had no success with this request. Others are looking for it, as you can see here:

Subject: Rich's brownie recipie
Hi,
You link would not work, so I am sending you this email.
My name is Wes. I have looked and looked for the Rich's brownie recipie.
It was frosted and I believe it had nuts in the brownie.
Thank you so much! I hope you can find it. I know lots of people would
love to have it.
Wes
Hello Wes,
I searched for the Rich’s brownies recipe, but had no success. It does not appear to be available. Sorry.
I did not find any problem with the e-mail link, if that's what you mean. For that kind of link to work,
you have to have a default e-mail client set up in your browser settings.
