  Hi,
I am looking for a recipe for bbq beef. I had it years ago, it
was a roast and included onion soup mix and liquid smoke and other
ingredients, wrapped in foil and baked. when it was finished you
just used a fork and broke it apart. I don't remember what the
  other ingredients were. Thanks.

  Joanne

Hi Joanne,

Well, I haven't been able to find it. I did find a recipe for cooking brisket that sounds similar, so I'm sending it. I think it would work for cuts of roast beef other than brisket, and you could probably leave off the beer if you wished.

Phaed

  Brisket In Foil

   Ingredients :
1 lg. beef brisket (about 7 lbs.)
   1 sm. bottle liquid smoke
   6 oz. beer
   1 sm. bottle barbecue sauce
   1 env. dried onion soup
   Cracked pepper

   Preparation :
Place brisket on large sheet of heavy duty foil, which has been
placed in large pan. Pour remaining ingredients over top of brisket
and sprinkle a generous amount of cracked pepper. Seal and bake for
4 hours at 350 degrees. Let cool slightly and slice thin and serve.

Hi Strawberry,

"Biscuits" can mean several things. In the UK and Australia, "biscuits" are what we call "cookies" or even "crackers" in the U.S.

If you mean soft and fluffy American biscuits, then I am sending you recipes for those below. If there is some special kind of biscuit that you are looking for, then write back.

Phaed

 Breakfast Biscuits

 Ingredients :
 2 c. self-rising flour
 2 tbsp. shortening or lard
 Milk to form soft ball

 Preparation :
Roll or drop on greased cookie tin. Bake at 400 degrees until
 brown.
 ----------------------------------
  Breakfast Biscuits

 Ingredients :
 2 c. flour
 1/4 c. shortening
 1/3 c. cream or 3/4 c. milk
 1/3 c. water

 Preparation :
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Put flour in bow. Cut in shortening
and add cream mixture with water. Put mixture onto lightly floured
board. Knead 10-12 times. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut and bake
 on ungreased pan 8-10 minutes.
 ----------------------------------
  Buttery Breakfast Biscuits

 Ingredients :
 2 c. all purpose flour
 1 tbsp. baking powder
 1 tbsp. sugar
 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
 1/4 tsp. salt
 1/2 c. margarine or butter
3/4 c. whipping cream, light cream, or milk

 Preparation :
In a bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, sugar, cream of
tartar, and salt. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse
crumbs. Make a well in center of dry mixture, then add cream all at
once. Using a fork, stir just until moistened. Turn the dough out
onto a lightly floured surface. Quickly knead the dough by gently
folding and pressing dough for 10-12 strokes or until the dough is
nearly smooth. Pat or lightly roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness.
Cut dough with a floured 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter, dipping the
cuter into flour between cuts. Place biscuits on an ungreased baking
sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until done. Remove
biscuits from baking sheet; serve hot. Makes 10- 12 biscuits.

Punch down. Sprinkle a light layer of corn meal on a pizza pan.
Roll out dough. Poke crust with a fork all over. Bake at 400

  Hi

I Was looking up a recipe for Marshmellow Creme & came across the ones
posted on your site, I have a question about the recipe that is listed
first. In the preparation, there is no mention of when to add or what
has to be done to the 2c. white corn syrup - Please help

   Regards

  Janine
  Australia

Hi Janine,

I see what you mean. I should read these more thoroughly before I send them. The corn syrup should be slowly beaten in as the second step, before the powdered sugar. Below are more recipes for marshmallow cream.

Phaed

  Homemade Marshmallow Creme

  List of Ingredients

  2 C granulated sugar
  1 C egg whites
  1 C water
  1/2 C corn syrup, light
  2 C corn syrup, light
  4 t pure vanilla extract

  Recipe
Cook sugar, water and two cups corn syrup to 240 degrees.
In mixing bowl, beat egg whites and half cup corn syrup until
mixed. Beat by hand until light and fluffy. Slowly add hot
syrup while beating. When all is mixed beat hard for three
  minutes. Add vanilla extract.
Yields: 49 ounces (7 seven ounce portions).
  -----------------------------------------
  Homemade Marshmallow Cream

     1 large egg, ( white only )
     1 c. sugar
     1 c. corn syrup
     1 tsp. vanilla

In a large mixing bowl, beat egg white until foamy. Pour syrup in
a steady stream over egg whites, beating constantly at a high speed.
Continue beating for 10 to 15 minutes. Add sugar and vanilla. Beat
until smooth. Makes approximately 1 quart.
  ------------------------------------
  Soft Marshmallow Cream

   Ingredients :
   1/2 c. butter or margarine
   1/2 c. Crisco
   1 c. granulated sugar
   3/4 c. evaporated milk
   1 tbsp. vanilla extract

   Preparation :
Cream butter 5 minutes on medium speed, add shortening and
beat, add sugar and continue beating. Finally, add milk
and vanilla, scraping bottom and sides of bowl. The longer
you beat the mixture the creamier it will become. This recipe
makes a very soft filling, similar to that found in Twinkies
and other snack foods. The cream filling will store for up
to one month in the refrigerator.
   ----------------------------------
   Marshmallow Creme

   Ingredients :
   1 egg white, beaten
1 c. corn syrup (white or light)
   1 tsp. plain unflavored gelatin
   2 tbsp. cold water
   1 tsp. vanilla

   Preparation :
Boil the syrup to soft ball stage (236 degrees F. on candy
thermometer). Pour slowly over the beaten egg whites. Dissolve
gelatin in the cold water. Add the syrup mixture. Add vanilla
and beat until very light and creamy. Very good on ice cream,
  cakes, or puddings.
