Subject: Ireland's Steak and Biscuits
Ireland’s restaurant was located in Nashville, TN in the early 1970’s.
They served very tender beef--not thinly sliced like deli meats--in
biscuits.
My husband has very fond memories of eating there with his family. I’d love
to surprise him with a homemade version of an Ireland’s steak biscuit. I don’t
know what cut of beef they used, seasonings, or how they tenderized it so
effectively.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Debbie
Hi Debbie,
Sorry, I had no success finding Ireland's actual recipe. Best I can do are
these sites, which have some attempts at making a "tastes-like" version:
Just a Pinch
Sweet Posy Dreams
Try this for the biscuits: Food and Wine

Subject: Chicken tortilla soup-The Grapevine Cafe, College Station TX
Hi! I am on the hunt for the recipe for tortilla soup from the Grapevine
Cafe in College Station, TX. It closed late 90s/ early 00s. I worked there
in college but cannot locate this recipe! Thank you in advance.
Holly
Hi Holly,
I've been able to find a few recipes from The Grapevine (cheesecake,
twice-baked potatoes, sangria, and house dressing), but I had no success
finding the tortilla soup recipe.
I'll post this for reader input.
