Hello Phaedrus,
I am happy to have found your site. I found a couple recipes so far that I'm going to try soon.
I am and have been looking for a few recipes for sometime now without any luck. I am hoping that you can do better.
The recipe I'm looking for is marinara sauce. The sauce is from a Wisconsin Pizza Pit pizza. I believe each store
has a different owner. Most of the Pizza Pits are in Madison, There is also at least one Pizza Pit pizzeria in Iowa.
There are a few different addresses listed on the net but this is mainly the one I had bought from for many years
when I lived in Wisconsin. I now live in Arkansas and I miss their pizza/sauce very much. This pizza sauce puts
Pizza Hut to shame.
From the same place they make a meatball sandwich using the same sauce. I would also like if you could find out
what they use to make the meatballs.

Sorry, I had no success locating a recipe for Pizza Pit’s marinara sauce, pizza sauce, or meatballs.
Sue, I will post all of your requests on my site. There is always a chance that someone who previously worked at these
places will see the posts and respond. That’s probably the only hope for these types of requests.

I'm asking for another recipe again. This time it is for a couple doughnut recipes and the place had
gone out of business many years ago. Maybe in the mid to late 1970's early 80's. There was only one in
Madison, Wisconsin and it was located on N. Sherman Ave. The name of the doughnut place was called
Doughnut Land it might have been all one word I forgot. I am pretty sure that this was not the only
State that had it because I've seen photos on the net.
Another Bakery called Triggs Bakery in Madison made it also. They too had gone out of business back in the 1980's.
I'm looking for the white sugary filling (not cream, custard nor pudding) that they filled their chocolate
Bismark and some of the chocolate Long Johns with.
If you can find the white filling maybe you can the Bismark and yeast long John recipe for me please?
I appreciate you for trying to find all of my recipes that for years I've been trying to find.

I found a few mentions of Doughnut Land and Triggs Bakery in Madison, WI, but no recipes, no copycats, and no
“tastes-likes.” The odds are very much against finding these. I can probably find a generic filling recipe for
use in Bismarcks and Long Johns, but not one from a specific local bakery.
