Subject: Recipe for Baked Tapioca
Hello Uncle Phaedrus,
The Eagle Diner in Bristol, Pa. makes the best "baked" tapioca pudding. I have asked the waitresses and the owner for the recipe,
without success. Would you please ask them........maybe you will have better luck. The Eagle Diner, 300 Bath Road, Bristol, Pa. 19007
Thank you,
Robert
Hello Robert,
I think you mean the place that is now known as “The Golden Eagle Restaurant (Diner)”.
Their website & menu is here: Golden Eagle Diner
I had no success with the pudding, sorry.

Subject: Recipe for Chicken Pad Thai
Hello Uncle Phaedrus,
There is a Thai restaurant in Boca Raton that makes the best Chicken Pad Thai I've tasted.
I've tried many recipes, including the two on this site, and can't seem to get the same flavor.
Would you be able to get their recipe for me?
The restaurant is Sushi Masa, 2240 NW 19th St. Suite #1201, Boca Raton, Fl. 33431
Thank you,
Robert
Hello Robert,
Sorry, I had no success with this. Their menu is at: Sushi Masa Menu

Subject: recipe request
I am a Food Journalist in Baltimore, Md. I grew up in Brooklyn NY. For decades, I've been trying to find Ebinger's marble cake recipe.
Can you help? It will bring back so many memories....and make for a good story.
Ilene
Hello Ilene,
There are some types of recipes that I have had so many requests for that I have set up special pages for them which have links
to the recipes of that type that I have found, and which list the ones that I have been unable to find. These recipe “types”,
which include recipes from such places as Ebinger’s Bakery and Horn & Hardart automats and other bakeries and restaurants,
are on this page: Most Popular Requests
I constantly monitor the Internet and any other sources available to me for recipes from these places, and when a new one appears,
I post about it immediately. I’ve been monitoring the web for Ebinger’s recipes since I started doing this 14 years ago. If I ever
obtain Ebinger’s marble cake recipe, you can be sure that the recipe or a link to it will appear on my site. Per your request,
I searched especially for the Ebinger’s marble cake recipe today, and had no success.
I see that you tried “The Shiksa’s” recipe, which appears here: The Shiksa
You said it was almost, but not quite, right. I’m afraid that’s the best that is currently available.
