Subject: Chardonnay Blood Orange Wine Vinegar
The meat roll was a success for the Italian pot luck.Thank you.
I was looking at a gift of the above and have not opened the
bottle as I am unfamiliar with the taste.
What uses would you suggest?
Hi Guy,
There's a great salad recipe using this vinegar at this website:
Piquant Salad
Chardonnay blood orange wine vinegar is "a carefully blended combination of Chardonnay grape juice, oranges and spices
that creates a sweet mellow flavor for fruity marinades, sauces and fat-free dressings. For an exciting twist add to sautéed
vegetables, chicken and fresh fish. Pour over orange sorbet for a spectacular effect. Use whenever your recipes call for white
wine vinegar."

4 b. boiling water
Flour
2 c. lukewarm milk
1 c. water
1/8 tsp. soda
2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. melted shortening

1 tbsp. salt

with foam next day, put container in warm water until it does foam.
Remove potatoes, discard, add enough flour to make a stiff batter
when stirred with spoon, let stand until light and puffy. In a pan
of very warm water - add: One pint warm water, add flour and knead
until dough will not stick to board. Make into loaves and (or)
rolls. Put into well greased pans, let rise well. Bake at 325
degrees for 1 hour.

sufficient flour to make a dough just stiff enough to knead. Knead

until double in bulk. Bake in moderate oven, 400 degrees, about 45
minutes. Makes 3 loaves.
----------------------------------

Pour 1/2 cup boiling water over 1 tablespoon corn meal. Ten

When this has become very light, add it to a batter made of 1 quart
of milk (scalded and cooled to lukewarm) and enough flour to make a
rather stiff batter. Beat well and set again in warm place to rise
for about 1/2 hour. Now work in 3 or 4 tablespoons shortening, 1
tablespoon salt, and enough flour to make a soft dough. Shape into
small loaves and bake as usual in 325-350 degree oven.
