Hello, I really enjoy your site.  Back in the 60's and 70's my
family used to make Pineapple Chocolate Brownies all the time.
My mother became paralyzed when I was 13 and after several moves
we lost the recipe.  All I remember is the top layer was swirled
and the recipe used crushed pineapple. I have searched for years
and can't find it.  I figured my final search I needed a pro so
I am turning to you.  I really really appreciate it if you could try.
Thank you,

Hi Becky,

I'm not sure what you mean by "swirled", but maybe this is it:

Phaed

Pineapple Brownies

1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. butter, softened (1 1/2 sticks)
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. well drained crushed pineapple
2 oz. chocolate chips, melted (can use 4 oz.)
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Combine all ingredients except pineapple, chocolate, and nuts.
Blend well; place 1/2 of dough in small bowl and add pineapple
(mix well). To remaining dough, add melted chocolate and nuts
(mix well). Spread chocolate mixture in greased 13 x 9 x 2 pan.
Spread pineapple layer over chocolate layer; use knife to get
marble effect. Bake at 375°F for 35-40 minutes. Cool and cut.
