Subject: Woolworth recipes
I have been looking for the recipe from women's bakery for their hot chicken pie they served at lunch time this bakery was also known as hunts
bakery....I hope you help me find these recipes.....thank you....
Hello Sherry,
I have not yet heard from you as to the location of Women's Bakery or Hunt's Bakery. However, I am going to speculate that the location was Toronto,
Ontario, Canada. I cannot find any mention of a hot chicken pie from a bakery of either name. However, I did find a mention of a "vol-au-vent" that
was served by these bakeries. This is a small hollow case of puff pastry that may be filled with various fillings, including chicken and mushroom and
is served hot. I could not find a recipe for this from Women's Bakery or Hunt's Bakery, but I did find others, with photos. See:
