Hi,
Can you find the recipe for chocolate pie from Bishop's,
that used to be in Des Moines, Iowa?
I think it had ice cream in the filling.

Hi Renda,
Yes, I found it, and yes, it does call for ice cream in the filling.
While searching, I also found a recipe for ambrosia pie from Bishop's.
See below for both.

Bishops Chocolate Pie:
1 qt vanilla ice cream
1 1/2 cup milk
2 sm pkgs chocolate instant pudding
2 squares unsweetened Bakers Chocolate (melted)
1 cup Whipping Cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 deep large Graham Cracker crust
Mix and beat the slightly softened ice cream and milk together
for 2 minutes. Add 1 of the pudding mixes and beat 2 minutes.
Add the 2nd pudding mix and beat another 2 minutes. Add the
melted chocolate and beat well until mixed thoroughly.
Pour into Graham Cracker crust and keep in refrigerator.
Prepare whipped topping by beating the whipping cream and powdered
sugar together until it forms stiff peaks. Use a metal bowl and
chill the beaters for the best results. Keep refrigerated
