Hi Uncle Phaed,
In the late 1970s my Mom gave my wife a pamphlet from a Women’s Club in the
Tampa, Sarasota Florida area fund raiser in the 1960s. There was a recipe
for deep fried crab balls. It used a can of Campbells condensed cream of
celery soup, crab, spices made into balls that were barely solid enough to
be breaded and then dropped into a deep fat fryer. I lost the booklet and
have been searching for it since as we can’t seem to get the spices right.
I contacted Campbells years ago and they were no help. Sure would like to
get out of the doghouse over this one after all these years.
Thanks, Steve
Hello Steve,
I wish that I could help, but I have searched everywhere that I can think of, and I can't find
a crab balls recipe that calls for Cream of Celery Soup.
The name of the women's club might be helpful.
I will post this for reader input.
