Hello Bea,

I could not find any mention at all of a Chinese Marble Cookie from either Jordan Marsh or Burdines.

Most recipes for "Chinese Marble Cookies" are for sugar cookies with streaks or swirls of chocolate in them to give a "marble" effect, like "Marble Cake" has.  No chocolate dollop in the center. Like this: Chinese Marble Cookies

I did find one recipe called "Chinese Marble Cookies," with a blob of chocolate frosting in the center. See: Bakery Style Chinese Marble Cookies

I found several recipes that were just called "Chinese Cookies" , with no "marble" in their name.  These are basically sugar cookies with nuts in the dough and with a bit of chocolate frosting in the center. See:

These and similar recipes are all that I could find - none with any link to Jordan Marsh or Burdines. I'll post this for reader input.
