I was so excited when I discovered that you had found the recipe for the
delicious rum cake from Pizitz Bakery. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I grew up in Birmingham and later moved to the gulf coast area. Whenever I'd
return to B'ham, I would go to Pizitz Bakery and buy a couple of slices of Rum
cake and a dozen or so of the best cookies I've ever had. I don't remember
what they were called, but they were round and had about 3 colors that flowed
through the cookies in a pinwheel type design. The colors, as I recall, did
not add flavor to the cookies but were more for appeal. I can't describe the
flavor of the cookie other than to say, I'd yet to find anything that begins to
come close - but I've often wondered if there might have been a touch of almond
in the mix. They looked like a basic cookie with the pinwheel design I mentioned,
but the cookies were absolutely delicious!

If you can find the recipe or even just a place that sells them - it would be
amazing - especially since I feel I was of little help with my description. Thank
you in advance for even attempting to find the recipe for this amazing cookie!

Sincerely,
Melissa

Hi Melissa,

I was unable to find any mention of these cookies. I'll post this for reader input. I have some Alabama readers and maybe one of them can help.
