Don't know if you are aware, but the old Sears Masterpiece FC is 73 % fruit and nuts,
all good stuff, no citron etc.  The Butter Batter Fruitcake is 50 % fruit and nuts.
To my knowledge, and this is on being the candy department's sales promotion
manager in the 70's, there was no alcohol in either. I was going to order the Beatrice
Grandma's version, but it really isn't because of so much more fruit and nuts.
Is there anyone out there that makes one this close to the real thing?
Thanks,
Cori

Hi Cori,

I did a new search today. but I could not find anything different from what I found in 2018:  10-26-2018

I have to rely on the recommendations of others in a  case like this, and I found no new recommendations of a fruit cake described as similar to Sears Masterpiece or one described as similar to Beatrice's Grandma's but with less fruit & nuts. As before, the only recommendations that I can find are two for the Butter Batter:

Swiss Colony

and

Jane Parker

Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

I'll post this on my site today. Maybe one of my readers has a recommendation.
