Subject: Cranberry Tart Recipe search request

Hello,

I was googling for something else and saw your site come up. I am making
a last ditch effort to recover my favorite cranberry tart recipe.

I found it online several years ago and cannot seem to locate it - even
checked my google searches back years. I’m hoping the site isn't one or
someone else posted a similar recipe.

It is a cranberry tart recipe without corn syrup. The crust is baked
separately and then the stovetop cooked cranberries (I believe cooked
with lemon rind) are poured over the top and the whole thing is baked
again. The recipe uses while cranberries - it isn’t a curd or cream tart
or pie.

It is delicious and I’m devastated I can’t find it! I know I made it as
far back as 2014, likely farther back.

Please let me know if there is another way to submit a request. Thank you!!!

Tanya

Hi Tanya,

You sent your request correctly.

Did your cranberry tart recipe have any other notable ingredients? Walnuts, pecans or other nuts? Apples? Blueberries? Cheese? Anything?

Phaed

Phaed,

I know I used to put walnut powder in the crust but cannot remember if that
was my own tweak or part of the recipe.

I know it did not have any juice, syrup, gelatin, or other fruits. Just the
crust ingredients (crust was part of the recipe), sugar, cranberries, citrus
rind (98% sure lemon rind and not orange). Can’t remember if there were
eggs or not.

I think this recipe is close but mine didn’t have any almond filling:
Cranberry Almond Tart

Thanks for your help!

Tanya

Hi Tanya,

What were the crust ingredients?

Do you remember what kind of website you found it on? Anything might help.

Phaed

Phaed,

I believe they were butter, flour, and sugar - no shortening. I honestly can’t
remember the website type but pretty sure it was a blog.

Thanks,

Tanya

Hi Tanya,

I looked at dozens of cranberry tart recipes, but I cannot find one that fits your requirements: "cranberry tart"
Filling:
whole cranberries
no other fruit or berries or cheese or nuts
lemon rind or peel or zest
"no corn syrup"

Crust:
sugar
butter
flour
Maybe "walnut powder"

Tanya, perhaps the closest that I found was this one: BBSeed That recipe doesn't have CORN syrup, but it does have "Golden Syrup". Golden syrup is made from sugar, not corn. This is probably not your recipe, but I thought I'd send it because of that.

I'll post this for reader input.

Phaed

Phaed,

Thank you so much. I can probably adjust to make it without the syrup.
I truly appreciate you taking the time to look. And I am printing/saving
all my internet recipes moving forward!
