Dear Uncle Phaedrus,

There is a restaurant n Arcadia, California called Moffett's Family Restaurant and
Chicken Pie Shoppe.  They are well-known for their chicken and beef pot pies, but
they also have excellent soups.  Their chicken poblano soup is my favorite, and I
would love a recipe for it, or a copycat recipe.  It is a creamy, chowder type soup
and has chicken, corn, black beans, poblanos, tiny slivers of either carrot or red
pepper, may have cheese in it, and is spicy (perhaps has cayenne pepper in it),
probably also has onions and maybe garlic as well.  Thank you!

Michelle

Hi Michelle,

I couldn't find anything about Moffett's chicken poblano soup. It didn't come up in a search, and it's not on their online menu at:

Moffett's Family Restaurant Menu

Perhaps it's one of their rotating soups of the day?

There are several chicken poblano soup recipes on the web, but I could not find one that was said to taste like Moffett's.

I'll post this for reader input.
