Hello!
I have lost my grandmother's recipe for a fried sandwich using
Underwood Deviled Ham. From what I remember you spread the
deviled ham on a slice of bread and then place a thin slice of
onion and a slice of cheese and top with the other slice of bread.
Here's where my memory gets cloudy. I think you mix together sour
cream, mayo and egg and dip the entire sandwich in this mixture
and then fry in a skillet. These were SO good! I just can't
remember the recipe for the dip to save my life.
If you can find this recipe I'd be forever grateful!
Thank you.

Hello Debi,
Sorry, I can't find any recipe at all for a deviled ham sandwich with cheese & onion that is fried.
I will post this for reader input.

I appreciate your efforts. If it helps any, I believe the recipe
probably came out of one of the women's magazine from the early
70's, either Woman's Day or Family Circle. She came up with a
recipe for a ground Spam sandwich called a Touchdowner at about
the same time.

Hi Debi,
Still nothing on the deviled ham sandwich, but I found a "touchdowner" recipe here: Don't Let the Spam Scare You
