Hello David,
There is no recipe for Italian Cream Cake in my copy of the Morrison's Kitchen Manual and I had no success finding such a recipe on the Web. I have an online acquaintance who was a Morrison's Cafeteria manager in the years before they closed. He said that the cakes were farmed out to an outside source and that he had never seen an Italian Cream Cake recipe during his time at Morrison's. He had no idea who might have made the cakes for Morrison's.
I'll post this. Perhaps one of my readers can assist with a "tastes-like."
