Luby's BBQ Sauce

While searching for something else, I found this recipe posted on a message board.

Luby's Barbecue Sauce
Yield: 4 Servings

2 1/2 c Ketchup
1 1/4 c Water
1/3 c Onion, chopped
3 tbs Brown sugar, packed
1/2 Lemon's juice
1 tbs Prepared mustard
1 tbs White vinegar
1 1/2 tsp Liquid smoke
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp Hot pepper sauce
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Chili powder
1/2 Bay leaf
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)

In a medium saucepan, combine all of the ingredients. Bring to a
boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.

TIP: Use the Barbecue Sauce as a basting sauce and/or topping
for meat and poultry including chicken and turkey; beef roast,
steaks, and ribs; meat loaves and hamburgers; pork roast,
chops, tenderloin, and ribs; and bratwurst and hot dogs.

Makes 4 cups.
