Hi Uncle Phaedrus,
Thank you for all your help in finding lost recipes. My name is Tom,
I had the good fortune of finding the the Hilltop salad dressing recipe
on an original bottle I found online.
The bottle was up for auction, it had a picture of the label with the
recipe, Worth Point/Ebay was where I found it. Here is the list of
ingredients:,corn syrup, salt, garlic, cider vinegar, oil, distilled
water, xanthan gum, yellow food coloring.

Here is how I made my recipe: 1/4 cup cider vinegar, 1/2 cup corn syrup,
1/2 teaspoon sea salt, 2 full bulbs of garlic, 1 cup distilled water,
3 tablespoons cornstarch, yellow food coloring. Peel garlic and blend in
cider vinegar until garlic is dissolved. Add 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, and
corn syrup hand blend. Put aside. Blend 1 cup of distilled water and
3 tablespoons cornstarch, heat in microwave oven 1 minute, mix add 1 more
minute watch for jelly like consistency. Let cool 20 seconds, add in all
ingredients, add food coloring, and mix. Balance from here to individual
taste. Enjoy

Oh, 1 teaspoon oil, sorry.(The label says soybean oil - Phaed)
