Hi Patricia,

I am finding two rum cakes connected with Publix stores. One is a rum cake that they used to make in their in-house bakery, but stopped making several years ago. I had no success locating a recipe, copycat, or tastes-like for this cake.

The other one is "Tortuga Rum Cake", which is sold by Publix. It is not made by them, but by a company based in the Cayman Islands: Tortuga Rum Cakes

Tortuga Rum Cake has never been successfully imitated, but I found a couple of recipes claiming to be "taste-likes" back in 2002.
