I also looked at every "Prune Whip" recipe that I could find. I found a lot of "prune whip" and "prune whip pie" recipes, but I could not find any recipe for or any mention of prune whip with any connection to Lord & Taylor's or the Bird Cage Restaurant.  Phaed I will post this for reader input. I ask readers not to send any prune whip recipe unless it is actually connected to Lord & Taylor or is a copycat recipe of the Lord & Taylor prune whip or is said to taste like the Lord & Taylor prune whip by someone who actually has tasted the Lord & Taylor prune whip.
