However, they weren't real mousse, as they did not have to be refrigerated. would you know anything about these, too? Thank you Gerry
Hello Gerry,
Sorry, I do not have either of these recipes and I had no success locating them or copycats for them on the internet.
I have a Hough Bakeries-specific page here: Hough Bakery
If you go there, you will see links to "Archie Garner's Hough Bakery" and "Archie's Hough Bakery Facebook page."
Archie Garner was a head baker at Hough Bakeries, and he has all of the Hough Bakery recipes. He has opened his own bakery. He does not give out the recipes, but he does make and sell the Hough products at his bakery on a rotating basis. There is contact information for his bakery on those two sites. They ship any where in the US and If you live in the Cleveland area, you can go there. I can't help you get the recipes, but if you would like to have some of the pecan rolls and pie tarts that you remember, call him. I read a remark on Facebook that he makes the pecan rolls on Thursdays. I don't know about the "pie tarts." I'm not sure that is the correct name for them.
