Hello Genevieve,
I looked for this recipe previously, in 2016, with no success. However, I had better success today. It's not the actual bakery recipe, but it purports to be a copycat recipe for McKenzie's Belgian Slices. I found it on the "I Miss Mckenzie's Bakery" Facebook Page.
See the posts at: "I Miss Mckenzie's Bakery" posts about Belgian Slices
It's also a featured video on YouTube at: Belgian Slices on YouTube
I have placed a text copy of the recipe below.
I have a Mckenzie's Bakery specific page at: Mckenzie's Bakery.

Belgian Slices Yields about 2 dozen cookies 1 c Butter, salted 1 c Dark Brown Sugar 1 c Granulated Sugar 1 Egg, large 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract 3 c AP Flour ½ tsp. Baking Soda 1 c Pecans, roasted (350* for 10-12 min) and finely chopped In a stand mixer, cream the butter and sugar together with the paddle attachment. Next, add the egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking soda. Then, add the dry ingredients to the stand mixer. Finally, add the pecans. Divide the dough into two equal portions and form each portion into a rectangle shape. Refrigerate both rectangles until they are well chilled. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F. Slice each rectangle of dough into 1/4-inch thick slices. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake until lightly browned, about 25 minutes.
