When I was in the 4th and 5th grade more than 50 years ago I used to eat

Hello Kevin,

I will be glad to see what I can find on these. Before I begin, however, I need a bit more information.

What city or town in what state was this particular Dog 'n Suds located?

Were these called "tamales" on their menu? Or were they called "pasteles" or "pastelitos"?

Were they served in a corn husk or were they in a crust like a meat pie or empanada?

Send me what you can of this info and I'll get busy searching.

I have not heard from Kevin, but here is a possible recipe:

Salvadoran Pastelitos de Carne

I found a menu from "Dog & Suds" that had "Salvadoran" - "pasteles" listed.
