Well, I can't search for a recipe by date, i.e. "50s." People just don't put dates on recipes when they post them on the web, and also usually don't when they collect them for cookbooks.
The other problem with finding a recipe that might fit your memory exactly is that there are dozens of recipes for macaroni and shrimp salad, many differing by only one ingredient.
Below are a couple of typical recipes. If you can provide a more detailed description of your grandmother's dish, I can search further.

Macaroni & Shrimp Salad 2-3 c. elbow or shell macaroni 1-2 cans baby shrimp, drained 2-3 stalks celery, chopped 1-2 cans olives, drained & chopped 1-2 c. mayonnaise, enough to coat noodles 1 c. green onions, finely chopped 5 or 6 eggs, boiled, chopped Salt Seasoned salt Pepper Parsley flakes Boil macaroni until tender; drain and rinse in cold water. Add vegetable and mayonnaise. Mix thoroughly. Add just enough of spices to suit your individual taste and enjoy. All ingredients may be added to suit one's own taste. All measurements are approximate. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shrimp Salad 2 c. macaroni 1 sm. bottle Catalina dressing 2 c. baby shrimp 1/2 c. sour cream 1 c. mayonnaise 1 can black olives Cook macaroni and drain. Add dressing and let set in refrigerator overnight. Mix sour cream, mayonnaise and shrimp, drained. Add black olives.
