Hello Lydia,
I'm a fan of fried chicken livers myself, and it has saddened me to see first KFC and then Cracker Barrel drop them from their menus here. Popeye's only has them in select locations(not here). I don't know where I'll get my chicken liver fix from now. Nobody has them here now.
I've never had K & W's livers, but I found a lot of rave reviews for them. K & W was bought by Piccadilly in 2022 and it appears that sale is when they, too, dropped fried chicken livers from their menu. They have apparently been replaced at K & W by sauteed or baked chicken livers & onions.
I did not have any success finding K & W's recipe for fried chicken livers, not even a copycat or a "tastes-like." I did find copycats for KFC and Cracker Barrel:

This also seems to be a good recipe. Fried chicken livers is one of the few things that I have cooked myself, and this is basically the same recipe that I used recently myself: Southern Fried Chicken Livers
I did make a couple of changes, though. I used buttermilk instead of regular milk, and I also soaked the livers in buttermilk for several hours ahead of time.

I'll post this for reader input.
