Herkimer, McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Arby’s, Taco Bell. They were
always packed, however, when the owner got into a little bit of
“legal” trouble, they closed.
I’d love to find this age old recipe.

Sorry, I had no success with this. I found a few mentions of TP's in Herkimer, and a couple of mentions of TP's Mexican Hot Hamburgers, but nothing resembling a recipe that mentioned TP's at all. There are a couple of "Mexican hot hamburgers" recipes on the web, but they don't mention TP's or New York and they are made by mixing spices with the hamburger meat, not by dressing them with a salsa. There were a couple of requests on message boards for TP's Mexican Sauce recipe, but they had not gotten any responses.
I'll post this for reader input.
