Chocolate Pie 3 lg. eggs 2 tbsp. flour 1 c. hot water 1 c. sugar 3 tbsp. cocoa 1 tbsp. vanilla 1 tbsp. butter Separate eggs (set aside whites for icing). To the eggs, add 1 cup sugar, flour, and cocoa. Mix thorough with 1/4 cup of the water. When mixed, add rest of water, 1 tablespoon vanilla, 1 tablespoon butter and cook over low heat until thick, stirring all the time to keep smooth. Pour into 9 inch baked pie shell. Topping: Beat egg whites and 1/4 cup sugar together until stiff. Put on top of the pie and put into oven and slightly brown topping. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chocolate Pie 2 c. sugar 4 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. cocoa 2 c. hot water 4 egg yolks Put first four ingredients in pan together. Beat egg yolks and put in with these ingredients and cook until it is thick and when done add butter the size of an egg and tablespoon vanilla. While cooking this, put 2 pie crusts in oven and bake them. Then put it in the crusts and beat the egg whites and put sugar in them and put on the pies and put in oven and cook them.
