Hi Janet,
If you request a recipe from a local restaurant or a local newspaper, please give the location.
You wrote back and said it was the Norristown, PA Times-Herald and so I am using that as my
search criteria.
I did not have any success finding this. I could not find any coffee cake recipe from "The Times Herald"
I don't have access to the archives of the Norristown, PA Times-Herald from so long ago, and they
aren't available for free online.
You could either call the Norristown Times-Herald directly and ask if someone will go through their
morgue for you, or you can find out who sponsored the recipe contest in the 1970s and call them
directly. They probably have files of the recipes that were in past recipe contests.
They might even publish a cookbook.
I cannot search for that coffee cake recipe otherwise unless you can give me the exact recipe name
and a list of some of the ingredients.
I'll post this for reader input. Might be lucky.
