I thought your reader may also want this recipe. It is from my mother's
recipe files and is over 50 years old.

Lou Malnati's House (Italian) Salad Dressing
19 ounces olive oil
10 ounces red wine vinegar
4 ounces Burgundy wine
4 garlic cloves, peeled and finely minced
1 tablespoon dried oregano
2 tablespoons salt
1/2 tablespoon black pepper, freshly ground
1 tablespoon white granulated sugar
Place all of the ingredients in a mason jar with a lid and shake vigorously
and hold in the refrigerator for one day before using.
